The criteria of an approved solar installer are:

•  Registered plumber
•  Graduate solar installation course (Wintec)
•  Registered EECA installer

In addition for Auckland Solar Project, participating installers are:

•  Trained specifically on the approved systems installation
•  Required to comply with project health and safety criteria
•  Site-audited by the project manager and Auckland Council
